…showed last 75 words of 683 total…captured my attention by the courage and loyalty, but also the superb writing that allowed me to feel that I was inside the action that was happening in the book. You could predict the character’s thoughts and actions by the detailed description of them. I could picture Kataoka’s monkey-like grin and Hara’s grime and serious attitude. This was an excellent book to use as a tool to teach us about the samurai.
