Maus and Maus II clearly capture the life altering experiences of one man during the Holocaust and effectively portray these experiences through detailed illustrations and dialogue, which bring the reader into the past with Vladek. The books also present ways in which second generation survivors can be affected by the Holocaust through their parents. Hopefully, these books will attract a wide audience who will appreciate and learn from the experiences of Vladek and Artie.
