I can't believe my position. I am a peaceful man, and I didn't do any harm. The people of Maycomb only know me by what other people said about me. To the people of Maycomb County, I am just a black man whose words are nothing but lies and who has committed an unthinkable crime.

…showed last 75 words of 416 total…though there is a sufficient amount of proof which shows I did not commit the crime, I am a black man who will be denied justice. Because in our courts, when it's a white man's word against a black man's, the white man always wins. The fact that no one realizes my unfair treatment makes me much more sorrowful. I am thinking about getting out of here, because no one will realize my unfair treatment!
