George Herman Ruth, better known as the Babe, has been considered one of the most gifted and popular men to ever play the game of baseball. Babe Ruth belonged to the Golden Age of Sport, one of the various names that dominated the roaring twenties. …showed last 75 words of 1521 total…transformed into something pretty close to a god.” (Schwartz, 2001) In the movie The Sandlot, Babe makes an appearance and gives Benny some advice. Babe says, “ There are heroes and there are legends. Heroes are remembered but legends never die.” How true that bit of advice is. Babe Ruth was a legend. And even though he is dead, his impact on baseball and on the people that had the honor of watching him will never die.
