Bontsha seem to have lost completely his faith in man, and keeps silence for his entire life until he dies and gets rewarded. Gimpel, for his part, believes in man and lives with them without regarding on what he has to go through. Although Peretz and Singer do not share the same conviction, both still believe in the value of faith of a man.
