For summary convictions, the board will issue a pardon if the waiting period has been completed and the offender has been free of any other convictions since the sentence was completed and there are no further convictions.
The board will ask the RCMP to conduct an investigation into the offender's behavior since the sentence was completed. If the board is convinced of the applicant's good behavior it may grant a pardon.
