Closed Chambers Edward Lazarus has written the book Closed Chambers based on his own experiences, interviews with sources such as other former clerks, and memoranda from the chambers of the justices, as well as other accessible sources. …showed last 75 words of 1963 total…Some insiders of the Court are probably upset with Lazarus for giving out too much information on how the Court operates but these are the same people that created the problems inside the Court. After reading this book and learning a lot, about how our legal system operates, I will be very careful not to get involved in a case that could be decided because of a clerk’s opinion on a swing vote Justice.
