importantly money for their schools. Sports today definitely mirrors society and the commercialization of college sports is on the rise. I feel somewhat guilty in that I am a participant, and will continue to participate and watch college sports; especially the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, even after searching into the background for these facts. I would have to agree with Elliot Gorn and Michael Oriard, in that sports can tell a lot about culture.
