so, it was a rejection of Willy and what
Willy wanted for him. Having his illusion of his father destroyed, likewise overturned
Biff’s own sense of importance. To sum it all up, when a son looks up to his father and
endeavors to please him, only to discover that he is an impostor, it could weaken his own
sense of worth, cause his father’s disappointment and quite possibly lead to his own
downfall.
