Linda Loman appears to be the epitome of the perfect wife. Her loyalty and devotion are a testimonial on their own, but her qualifications go far beyond that. Arthur Miller illustrates to what lengths she goes to encourage her husband both in times of crisis and in their everyday lives. This dutiful and obedient wife is the one person who supports Willy Loman’s fantasy, despite his often reprehensible treatment of her.
