would be better for the people than the government the King had. The colonies had a great idea. Just think of where we would be if the colonies had not gotten together and written this document. The United States would probably still be part of Great Britain and would still be run by a King. Thanks to the colonies, Americans are now free and have their rights protected more than they did under King George.
