In this paper, I will discuss a few aspects of ancient Athenian democracy and society, as well as modern American democracy and society. First, I will outline the key points of Athenian and American democracy, then compare and contrast them. Then I’ll do the same for Athenian and American Society, concluding with a comparison between the two societies.

In conclusion, there are many differences as well as similarities between the American and Athenian democracies and the American and Athenian societies. Athenian democracy worked well for hundreds of years. American democracy has worked well for the last 226 years and is still going on strong.
