Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung were both early researchers in the field of neuro psychology and the study of dream patterns associated with sleep. Although not all of Freud and Jung’s theories have withstood the test of time, without their groundbreaking research our conscious and unconscious might never have been explored. Even though I do not personally agree with every theory these two men developed, the medical world benefited from their knowledge. We must take into consideration that Freud and Jung were conducting scientific research in a time period not so technologically advanced as today. They opened doorways to understanding and treating mental health issues through dream analysis and research that continues today.
