Aunt Jennifer’s Tigers
This poem is a good example of showing the conflict of a woman with using different symbols and statements. There is an Aunt Jennifer who makes wonders with her art and uses symbols such as tigers which run in “chivalric” certainty.

general, the tigers symbolize the freedom that the Aunt desires and it is a way to put her feelings out. On the other hand, the wedding ring symbolizes the heavy burden of marriage on the Aunt and we can assume that they have problems in their marriage. In a conflict between her prisoned life and the free life of the tigers, a tragedy of a lonely woman is described in this poem in my opinion.
