George Washington, the New Nation’s first president, wanted unification in his country. Unfortunately, as we have seen, it does not turn out to be the way he wants. We see from the Election of 1800 and the Election 0f 1828 that they have caused geographical discrimination and racial discrimination even though these elections are “revolutionary” and shape our society today. Real democracy was not seen in the Nation and even though the main focus of these elections was democracy and fulfilling the rights of the people, at the end it turned out to be more of a segregation then “liberty, fraternity, and equality”.
