Nature, through evolution, has granted us cognitive thought and the opposable thumb, but has not entirely done away with some of our “less appealing” primal characteristics, namely bloodlust. For all our morality, progress, and advancement, we as a species cannot deny the fundamentals of our nature. We can, however, redirect some of them into less detrimental forms of expression.
