short, simple sentences; his straight-forward, with the rapid speed of events happening, yet the rich details of the story still exist; the absence of a character’s name, yet the characters still well defined; the lack of descriptions, yet the character’s feeling and emotion are still exist; the overall suddenness and unexpectedness ending which capture the readers’ interest on his story. Therefore, I would like to recommend others to read Hemingway’s short stories.
