The colony in Dish 2 grew outwards from the edges, while Dish 1 did not, or grew much more slowly. The colony in Dish 2 was always much thicker than Dish 1. Conclusion The yeast in the agar with the added DNA chemicals grew faster. This proves that these nutrients allow cell division to occur more rapidly.
