The Glass Menagerie
The Glass Menagerie, a play written by Tennessee Williams, written in the early twentieth century. Living life in the “Industrial Era,” as called by historians, Amanda lives with her crippled daughter, Laura, and her working son Tom in an apartment in St. Louis. the characters. Where as a novel would leave us without a direct description and indirect character form Williams makes no mistake to write it in a play and blatantly tell readers his point. Unlike a good novel, where many of the motives and character analysis is done by the reader, this great play shows the thoughts and feelings of Williams directly as he undoubtedly achieved his goal of allowing the readers to follow the theme.
