How Books Changed America
The books The Catcher in the Rye, by J.D. Salinger, and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, by Mark Twain, there many themes that collide throughout these two books. Although these two books are different their themes are closely related. Such as the racism vs. phoniness that are portrayed, also the education vs. growing up, and self-protection vs. the civilized society are all themes that the two authors bring up.

civilized society can affect all people including Holden who wasn’t even in the book. Salinger’s shows us phoniness, growing up, and self-protection of charcters in the books. Through these themes that the authors acquired in their books help the reader to understand, to learn and to look for adventure in anything and that is willing to rick anything as well. These two books are the two books that really shaped America’s literature.
