Each time this type of inequality occurs the white people’s self-esteem rises and they feel they are more powerful, therefore more important than every body else. As far as they are concerned a black man has died, a poor drunken white man has died and a poor white girl is disgraced. In every case of evil that takes place the upper white class remains well protected and their consciences are left untouched.
