John Ernst Steinbeck was born and raised in Salinas, California. As a child he always aspired to become a great writer. Between the years of 1920 and 1925 Steinbeck attended Stanford University. While at Stanford University, Steinbeck took classes in writing techniques. Although John Ernst Steinbeck excelled in writing he lacked the will to achieve in other areas of education. Unfortunately, Steinbeck never graduated from Stanford.

the very ironic fact that he didn’t graduate from college but still managed to win the Nobel Prize. Along with many other recognitions he has had in his lifetime Steinbeck has an amazing history. One can only dream of reaching his success. John Ernst Steinbeck made his dreams come true one after another. To the day of his death John Steinbeck was known as an exceptional literature writer. Steinbeck died in New York in 1968.
