1. I read the book The Catcher in the Rye. The catcher in the rye was a book that was written by J.D. Salinger in the 1940's. The book is 26 chapters and 214 pages long.
2. I had no real reason for choosing the catcher in the rye. It was referred to me by a friend that had previously read the book.

rewrite the ending I would, obviously, but I wouldn’t really know what to change it to. I would probably just have the ending be about opposite of what it is. Holden wouldn’t find the help he needed. he would go even crazier and start killing anyone he thought was evil or corrupting the innocence and eventually see himself as being evil instead of being the catcher in the rye and would kill himself.
