b. Another example that shows this is advent of the parachuter. Dubbed as “The Beast”, this change in circumstances changes the boy’s morality. They were frightened into paranoia by this thing and that affected their ability to judge good from evil, right from wrong. Jack took up this golden opportunity to seize control over the boys. In a sense, the boys lost their morality or were disillusioned when the beast came to the island.
