After reading Marvell’s poetry I have come to believe that the statement of Marvell being a misogynist is not true. To me he is simply retaliating to the rejection he receives from women.

the rejection. On almost every occasion he uses humour and sarcasm adding to the already playful nature of the poem which I think supports my argument of him not being completed alienated from women.
So, as a conclusion to my argument that Marvell is not a misogynist from the reasons that I have provided above. Marvell is simply entertaining us with his witty, humourous and sarcastic remarks which are not meant to be taken seriously.
