Mary Reilly In comparing the novel of Mary Reilly to the motion picture I noticed a few differences in the two such as the slightly changed narrative. …showed last 75 words of 485 total…time available in a motion picture, the images of places and the general impact of scenes must be a little more forceful in order to leave an impression on the viewer. In my opinion, from what I saw of the movie, I think the director did a fairly decent job of keeping the movie quite analogous to the book by not going too far off the narrative of the actual novel many movies often do.
