In conclusion there can be no doubt No Sugar is a protest play, protesting the social injustices perpetrated on the Aboriginal people of its day and age and based on factual occurrences. It therefore can be seen as the very beginnings of the “Sorry” movement we are witnessing in Australian political history today as politicians struggle to achieve a satisfactory outcome to the issue of reconciliation.
