Lennie an’ I’ll tell you so you can almost see it.” (105) This was just a way to get Lennie to look away enabling George to fire at his head. In the end George must kill the same man that was so much a part of his life and who he worked so hard to protect. Ultimately, mans commitment to man leads to mans destruction. I believe this is the circular structure of the book.
