The book would have had a amazingly different ending if McMurphy had never came to the ward and got the patients to rebel against the nurse. Maybe it was fun while it lasted though. The safe way to go would just be to go along with what you are told, and not give authority power to do harm to you...in McMurphy’s case ending your life.
