In the play Othello, William Shakespeare uses revenge to prove jealousy is a moving emotion as well as ruins lives easily. Iago’s mind games and an unfortunate murder, lead him to kill himself realizing that it was all lies and jealousy taking over his heart. Shakespeare proves that jealousy ruins the lives if revenge is put into action as shown by the characters in Othello. Although Roderigo, Iago and Othello are killed and hurt they are prime examples that revenge is used to flare jealousy.
