Should the Code of Professional Responsibility draw distinctions between the independence of judgment expected of outside counsel and the independence of judgment expected of inside counsel? In-house counsel should be required particularly in close cases to inform outside counsel who is subject to different pressures, and then rely on the latter's advice.
