Passage Analysis Betrayal, suspense, passion, and outright bloody murder are such elements in an epic. Later Odysseus say’s he relishes this very song, every word. This is a story to enjoy since it is a story of betrayal, love, sorrow, and rage. In Odysseus’ and Homer’s time mortals loved that genre of story and people today still do.
