Poem Response The poem, ˇ§Some Objects of Wood and Stoneˇ¨, by Margaret Atwood is in three sections. The first section is called ˇ§Totemsˇ¨. Immediately I thought of totem poles ˇ¨ wooden peopleˇ¨ and read this section with this in mind. …showed last 75 words of 343 total…people remember ˇ¨the image of that inner shapeˇ¨ and the feeling of being togetherˇ¨ hands holdingˇ¨. All three parts are about changing things, the totem poles will fall and decay; the pebble get moved; the stone animal becomes a different shape as many people hold and rub it. This poem, reminds me that nothing lasts forever, things always change. Change is part of life and even though some changes are sad others can be okay.
