Perhaps one day the life span of men and women will be equal, therefore there will be no need to change the marriage laws. Although, some sociologists may presently see the need to modify marriage laws in order to decrease the number of lonely widows, the practice of polygyny in itself is a concept that violates not only American principles, but also a person’s morals.
