Power. When people think of the word they will automatically think of someone in control of something. Power is a word everyone knows and a thing everyone wants. In the book "Lord of the Flies" there is a major power struggle (between Ralph, Jack, and even Piggy) that effects the whole novel. going to get any because people didn’t see him that way. Ralph was the main power in the beginning, but over the course of the novel it progressed so that Jack had everything. Ralph almost lost everything. If it weren't for the military guy, he would've died right then and there. The causes for the power struggle were the main points of the book and basically made the book the way that it was.
