The various presentations we have seen throughout the past few weeks have been interesting, informative, and quite often rather amusing. The many branches of population and food explored in these presentations provided a great deal of insight into the past, present, and sometimes futures of their subjects. The ramifications of genetically engineered foods could have also been carried over the effects “frankenfoods” would have on the population. In the same respect, a look into the effects of genetically engineered animals used to produce compatible human organs would have been an interesting, albeit controversial topic. Overall, the presentations were done very well, and generated a great deal of thought and conversation in the class.
