Moore’s “Proof of the External World” was created for the soul purpose to resolve Immanuel Kant’s “scandal of philosophy” which was an observation that proclaimed, we must believe the existence of the external world on faith alone, which obviously was not sufficient to Kant or any other philosopher. I believe that this faith he refers to is truly common sense, which I believe exists, along with many other instances of innate knowledge.
