Protection Of Different Colonies
The English and Spanish alike of ten built sttlement near the ocean or riverbanks.
Colonist first built ades for protection early in the life of colny. Stockades were slight protection made from logs that were sharpened at the top with gunner holes. Stockades protected the house,stores, and, gardens inside the colonies. Stock ades in some sttlements were walls made from logs and mud mixed with straw. The lumber for stockades was in saw pits.

Spain held sea powers for many years with the finest ships. Frigates were vary powerfull at sinking and destroying enemy ships. The Galleons were a popular ship to use with amny cargo room it was a great trade ship. The caravels used to explore the new worlds for colonist.
