Still, even though Richard was so horrible, he was the protagonist of this story while Richmond played the antagonist. Look at the valor of Richmond and his beautiful prayer. Strange how this switch of traditional roles works. Richard III is a beautiful play about ugliness. It is quite like it’s title character: !
a shadow cast from the sun.
