Six million Jewish residents of Eastern Europe were exterminated during the Holocaust of the 1940’s. Families were taken out of their homes and put into ghettos, which were large prison type establishments that housed dozens of people in one small apartment. Many people might not have known about the Holocaust and how one man, Oskar Schindler, made a difference to hundreds of Jewish people. Steven Spielberg does a great job in using images and emotion to get this point across. Hopefully as more people see this film this will better understand how prejudice and hatred can ruin a country and cause world war. The world can only hope that this genocidal Holocaust will never happen again.
