First of all, school uniforms eliminate school violence in the classroom. School uniforms play a major role in decreasing potentially dangerous altercations amongst students. A case in point, many unsuspecting and vulnerable students unknowingly wear gang-colored or gang-affiliated clothes to school. Finally on a personal note, I have a younger brother and sister attending junior high school that has implemented a uniformly dressed code. I know from personal experience that the incidents of violence has decreased in their school, and I rest better knowing that their school is a safer place to learn.
