Since the terrorist acts of September 11th, Patriotism has suddenly fallen in fashion across America. Flag-waving has become so popular that many small countries are working overtime to manufacture enough American flags to meet demand. Corporations are cashing in on a tragedy and many people are buying in to it. With the intentions of supporting a nation in need, millions of American citizen’s have succumbed to the patriotic cries from like individuals

Sunshine patriots have come to believe that the only way to replace what they had lost is to retaliate with more determination and greater support; to punish the wrong-doers and to award the heroes; to fight fire with fire and set ablaze a new fire. Should words of hate and war be preached from our leaders and coaches? Should not words of love and peace be cast upon us instead?
