well written. Lacey was a lot like me. She was around the same age, loved horses, was efficient, and sensitive to other people’s feelings. I felt like I was there because the story was very realistic. My favorite part was when Lacey got her horse, Polly, and when it had a foal. I did not like the part when David was killed and when they talked about his parents being brutally killed in Iran.
