I was amazed at this group of characters and their issues of loss in “The Sun Also Rises.” The whole little group; Jake, Brett, Cohn, Mike and Bill, are all a just of lost souls. They are always traveling around and going somewhere, but never really arriving anywhere. It seemed that one common theme in this book was that they were drunken ramblers. They don’t have much ambition, they drink, party and go from place to place everyday. I believe that is why the book is called “The Sun Also Rises.” They live everyday as it is the same, the sunrise and the sun falls.
