Driving is the ultimate symbol or independence and self reliance; the laws should be fair for all ages to achieve this freedom (Allen, 1). Increasing the driving age may seem like a logical and easy way to fix this problem, but in reality, seventeen year olds have as much a right to drive as anyone else does.
