When working with grammar you can ask the pupils to pick a page where they should find as many nouns/verbs/ adjectives as possible. Tell them to find a synonym or an opposite for each word.
As I said there are many ways of using the book, but I think that you should use the main subject in the book first of all, since this often is the most obvious.
