The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints is also commonly called the "Mormon" religion. Founded by Joseph Smith born in Sharon, Vermont in 1805. His teenage years led him in a search of truth for God and Jesus. At the age of 14, Smith was approached in a dream where God explained his purpose. Natuarally he recieved negative critisim from the surrounding community. I do not challenge the validity of Smith's encounter with God, and Jesus.
