American culture is the combination of many group cultures. Cultural diversity is a big factor in everyday life. “The thread that binds us [Americans] is our common humanity, transcending race, color, ethnicity, language, and religion” (Primus pg. 15). Unfortunately, groups too often choose to isolate themselves from everyone else. They fail to notice that they share American culture with every other group.
