The couple, then reunited, were debriefed and given new identities. The next years were ones of featureless tedium. The Petrovs, under the assumed names of Sven and Maria Anna Allyson, stayed in several capital cities, until they moved to Melbourne. Their whereabouts were the subject of a D-notice for many years. Vladimir Petrov, after a short bout in a geriatric home, died in 1991, aged 84. Evdokia followed nearly a decade later, dying on July 19th 2002, aged 88.
