Although the United States went through very hard, emotional times during the depression, they were able to work the economy up to the strongest in the world and help Europe do the same. Completing such successful tasks, the social aspect of the United States was eventually equalized and many people were happy. As Langston Hughes once said, “Let America be America again.”
